: Hey Rainer

: I heard that George Lucas was named one of the richest man in Hollywood
: in the Forbes 500 listings. This may be in part due to the popularity
: of Starwars and the sales of its many licensed product. Do you think
: the popularity of science fiction has something to do with some kind
: mechanism of superstition creeping back into contemporary culture? Do
: you know of any thinkers critically writing about magic or superstition?

magic and superstition - everything that so-called enlightenment tried to erase with quite some sinister practices.... guillotine, books, universities, money, concentration camps, museums, etc...

superstition could catch you easily
magic is more difficult since it needs some kind of performance on the part of the magician/magic thing....
superstition started in my case in the basement of my parents house where I never wanted to go since I was afraid of it... something could be there...
so I guess.. it is fear and a weird way of controlling (and doubling) it with superstition.. in my case, I just didn't go
before important things that can't be completely controlled by me I flirt with superstitious: thoughts that are more pathetic then helpful.. like better take a helmet on the bicycle or take the subway in order not to make an accident before signing my new lease... -

I am not really superstitious but understand the mechanism since I once believed in god which isn't anything different... superstition is just the wilder unauthorized form of superstition... where freaks might end up who suffer a father complex or something... but the mechanisms are the same...
just stare long enough at a point or thing and get contaminated by it... of course it speaks and looks back

so, put it on the back of peoples cloth.. I guess it is protecting from bankruptcy
